After 14 December 2019 strict regulations apply to for plants and plant products brought into the EU
After 14 December 2019 all plants for planting (e.g. potted plants, seeds, propagating material), fruits (e.g. apples, hazelnuts) and other plant products (e.g. wreaths, fresh herbs) can only be brought into
the EU with a phytosanitary certificate from countries outside the European Union even
in your personal luggage.
Information day in Liverpool
The Consulate General held an information day in Liverpool, where Alice Tligui from Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton gave a presentation about Brexit and the settlement scheme, while chidren were entertained by the Zsigmond Kiraly Hungarian Cultural Club and School from Manchester.
Ministerial Commissioner of humanitarian aid met religious leaders in Manchester and Liverpool
Hajnalka Juhász member of the National Assembly of Hungary, Vice Chair of the Foreign Affairs Commission and Ministerial Commissioner responsible for tasks associated with the development of international relations in relation to humanitarian aid provided by Hungary visited religious leaders in Manchester and Liverpool.
Hungarian culture at the Day of Cultures and Languages
The Consulate General participated at the Day of Cultures and Languages organised by Europia at the Cervantes Institute in Manchester. Participants had a short Hungarian language session and a Titita, a Hungarian folk dance group gave a performance.
